Brain Injury Association of Virginia

DRS - Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury Services Unit

Part of the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) under the Community Based Services Division. Often serves as the initial point of contact for DRS staff and external customers who need resource or referral information about brain injury and spinal cord injury in general, as well as information about specific agency services for persons with neurotrauma. Program staff work closely with DRS field staff to resolve customer concerns regarding agency services for persons with brain injury and spinal cord injuries.

Brain Injury Services of Northern Virginia

Operate the ADAPT Clubhouse day services in Northern Virginia and the Westwood Clubhouse day services in Fredricksburg. They also offer a Supported Living Program in partnership with Community Systems, Inc. Additional information is available from the Programs tab on their main website. Case management services, including pediatric case management, are also available.

Brain Injury Services of Southwest Virginia

Case management for individuals with brain injuries from pediatric to adult. Operate a Life Skills Training program, the PALS program, and assist in volunteer work placement.

Commonwealth Support Systems

Offer the S.E.E.K. (Survivors Exploring Empowerment and Knowledge) day program serving Southside Hampton Roads and the No Limits day program serving the Eastern Shore, supported employment services, job training services, and life skills training, among others.

Tree of Life

A private program providing for the post-acute needs of persons with acquired brain injury. They offer community based services including transitional rehabilitation, supported independent living and lifelong living assistance. Located in Richmond, VA.
